HOW IT HAPPENED:
1st Half | The Buccaneers started out strong and controlled the pace of the game as they had most of the possession and play was on the Tampa half of the field for the first 15 minutes of play. The visiting side took advantage of opening up a quick three-goal lead to take control of the game. The Spartans were able to fight back into the game and started to get into the rhythm of the game as Nastasia Asgedom scored in the 31st minute to get one goal back off an assist from Libby Wissman to make it 3-1. UT went into the break with momentum as they looked to make it a one-goal game but were unsuccessful.

2nd Half | Tampa began the second half with energy and they kept fighting to cut further into the deficit. The Spartans rotated players on and off the field as they tried to get fresh legs. UT was able to get a handful of shots in the direction of the goal but saw the chances go wide, high, and saved by the keeper. Eight minutes into the second half, Asgedom was subbed off due to an injury and the Spartans felt the impact as Barry kept holding them off. With 15 minutes to go, Barry was able to slow down the game as they had three consecutive corner kicks that kept Tampa from pressuring and ran time off the clock. With just over 10 minutes left in the game, BU scored the final goal of the match to make it 4-1.

INSIDE THE STATS:
• The Spartans outshot the Bucs 15-11 including a 7-4 edge in the second half.
• Barry had a 9-4 edge in corner kicks, the first time UT did not lead in this category this season.
