ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team completed its final competition at the McDonough Cup.

OTHER NOTABLES:

  • Celestino and led all Spartans for the third time this season.
  • An opening round 76 by Celestino was the top for the Spartans.
  • Celestino and Montagnino were the lone Spartans with three sub-80 rounds.
  • In addition to Olson Nick DiMarco and Patrick Montagnino were entered as individuals.
  • Jonathan Buller was part of UT's lineup, but withdrew in the second round.
  • Carson-Newman's Jake Headrick was the individual champion after finishing with a 211 (-5).
  • A total of 18 teams competed.
  • Joining UT and host Rollins (2nd) from the Sunshine State Conference were Palm Beach Atlantic (12th), Embry-Riddle (13th) and Eckerd (18th). 

UP NEXT:
The Spartans will open spring competition on February 5-6 at the Brevard Invitational. The tournament will be played at Sun Tree Country Club in Melbourne.
