TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's basketball team will host the Lynn Fighting Knights on Saturday December 2nd. The men will compete at 4:00 pm following the women's matchup at 2:00 pm.

Last Time Out: The Spartans took on the Saint Leo Lions on Wednesday November 29th and were defeated by a close 68-64 margin. Duke Shelton was the leading point scorer with 15 points and 11 rebounds, notching his fifth double-double of the season. Marcel Robinson was the second highest point scorer for the Spartans with 14 points. Freddy Ibrahim collected three steals on the night. As a team, the Spartans shot 42.6 from the field.
About the Spartans: Bacon is third in the conferene in scoring and leads Tampa offensively, tallying 22.9 points per game. He is followed by senior Duke Shelton and Marcel Robinson with 13 and 12.6 points per game, respectively. Shelton sits in first place in the SSC for rebounds with 13.4 per game and in second place for blocked shots with 1.6 per game. As a team, the Spartans have a 43.1 field goal percentage.
About the Knights: The Fighting Knights are led offensively by Ryan Peterson who has 77 points and is averaging 15.4 points per game. As a team, Lynn is shooting 44 percent from the field and collecting 35.6 rebounds per game.
