Justin Pecka is in his second season as an assistant coach after previously serving as the team’s manager. As an assistant, his duties include player development, recruiting, film exchange and preparing scouting reports. He also assists in day-to-day operations of the program.
Upon graduation, Pecka worked basketball camps around the country including the University of Tennessee, University of North Carolina, Duke University, University of Connecticut, Syracuse University and Providence College.
The UT graduate served as the manager for the 2008-09 season and his main responsibilities included filming games, managing equipment and assisting in practice.
A native of South Windsor, Conn., he graduated from Tampa in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in finance. An honors student, Pecka was also awarded a Dean’s Scholarship.
