Hailee Sullivan is in her first season as an assistant coach at The University of Tampa after playing for the Spartans from 2005-09.
In 2008-09 as a senior, she helped the Spartans to a school-record 26 victories while being part of the first class in program history to advance to four NCAA tournaments. She was also part of three Sunshine State Conference tournament championships while capturing the regular season title as a senior.
While averaging over 24 minutes per game, Sullivan finished her career with a pair of double figure scoring performances in the NCAA South Regional. She tallied 21 points versus Clark Atlanta and then scored 14 against Ouachita Baptist in the South Region semifinals en route to becoming the first Spartan to be named to the regional all-tournament team. She scored double figures on eight occasions while averaging 7.0 points per game. The sharpshooter owned a 42.1 percent clip from 3-point range while connecting on 53 from beyond the arc. She also led all Spartans with an 87.5 percent free-throw percentage.
As a junior, she started in 11 of 30 games played and logged double figure scoring in five games. She scored 13 points on three occasions and played all 40 minutes twice. She also buried multiple three-pointers in six games with at least one three-pointer in 16 games. Her experience also included time versus Valdosta State in the NCAA South Regional.
She played in 19 games as a sophomore, scoring double figures twice. She hit a three-pointer in eight contests and dished out a pair of assists on three occasions. Sullivan made an impact as a freshman, playing in 18 games off the bench. She scored double figures twice and logged 10-plus minutes in seven games while leading the Spartans in scoring twice.
A native of Skokie, Ill., she is a graduate of Niles West High School, where she averaged 17.6 points as a senior. An all-conference and all-area selection, she was also named Cook County all-area and set a single-season school record for three-pointers made. Playing for Lou Metallo, she was named team MVP. She also played club basketball for Full Package, where she led her team to nationals.
While at UT, she served as a volunteer for UT Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was a Scholar-Athlete who earned a Dean’s academic scholarship. She was also a member of the Dean’s List. She earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education and exercise science/sports studies.
