Tampa Baseball Continues Community Engagement With Home Makers Club

TAMPA, Fla. – For the third consecutive year, the University of Tampa baseball team helped furnish a local family’s home. The team participated in the effort through the Tampa Home Makers Club.

The Spartan baseball team will continue working through the home makers club on every Tuesday during the month of November. This opportunity arose due to a partnership with local supporter Joe Caro.

The team was able to unload and furnish a home for a family that had been struggling with homelessness for years. It consisted of fully furnishing a warehouse that is now fully furnished for three families. The members delivered and set up furniture for the three families.

The Tampa Home Makers mission is to make sure everyone in the Tampa area has a bed to sleep in and a comfortable home to live in without regard to race, national origin, or religion. They believe that every person has the right to comfortable place to live, and support families that are trying to improve their lives through hard work and dedication to their families.

Volunteers can help days, evenings, or weekends and our monthly meetings are the last Tuesday evening of each month. For more information, please E-mail TampaHomeMakers@stlstewardship.org.
