Tampa Women's Soccer to Open SSC Tournament Title Defense on Tuesday

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The pairings have been solidified for the 2013 Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Championship. Action will begin with the quarterfinal round on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The semifinal round and championship match will be hosted on Friday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 10 by the conference regular-season champion and No. 1 seed, Barry.

Barry (12-3-1, 7-0-1 SSC) secured the No. 1 seed by posting 22 points in its SSC matches. Rollins (13-3, 7-1 SSC) claimed the No. 2 seed with 21 points in conference action. Both teams will receive a quarterfinal round bye.

Tampa (15-2-1, 5-2-1 SSC) earned the No. 3 seed with 16 points and will host No. 6 Florida Southern in Tuesday's quarterfinal round. The Moccasins (4-10-4, 2-5-1 SSC) claimed the last spot in the tournament field with seven points in league play. The winner of the match between Tampa and Florida Southern will advance to the semifinal round to play No. 2 Rollins on Friday.

Saint Leo (10-6, 5-3 SSC) locked up the No. 4 seed by tallying 15 points in SSC play. The Lions will host Tuesday's quarterfinal tilt against No. 5 Florida Tech. The Panthers (10-5-1, 3-4-1 SSC) took the No. 5 seed with 10 points. The winner of the match between Saint Leo and Florida Tech will advance to face top-seeded Barry in Friday's other semifinal contest.

Finals - Sunday, November 10 (Hosted by Barry)
