Tampa Finishes Play at Saint Leo InvitationalOctober 16, 2012
ST. LEO, Fla. – The University of Tampa women’s golf team placed 11th at the Saint Leo Invitational, a two-round event that was played at Lake Jovita Golf Course.
The Spartans shot respective rounds of 345 and 352 to finish at 697, or +121. Nova Southeastern won with a score of 586. The Spartans topped Sunshine State Conference opponent Eckerd College by a total of 70 strokes.
After an opening round 76, Kendra Bishop finished at 162 to find a spot in 34th place. Also competing in UT’s lineup was Michelle Stein (173), Brittany Bradshaw (174), Allie Steffens (189) and Corrine Camp (190).
The Spartans have one fall tournament remaining on their schedule, a trip to the St. John’s Invitational on Oct. 19-20. The tourney will be played at Mission Inn Country Club in Howey in the Hills, Fla.
