UT Swimming Teams Among Teams Honored for Academic Success

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced its Spring 2012 Scholar All America Team honors, with the University of Tampa men and women both receiving the honor.

The Tampa men were one of 19 NCAA Division II teams honored, as it posted a 3.08 team GPA. The Spartan women were one of 44 squads to earn a spot on the list, as UT earned a 3.31 mark in the classroom.

Head coach Ed Brennan’s squads also enjoyed success in competition, with both teams placing at the 2012 NCAA Championships. The Spartan men were 13th as the women came in fourth, marking the program’s best finish since 1988.
