Tampa Swimming Set to Conclude Home Season With Pair of Weekend Meets

TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men’s and women’s swimming teams are set to host a pair of annual opponents on Friday and Saturday as it wraps up home competitions for the 2011-12 season.

Tampa will host perennial NCAA Division III power Emory University on Friday at 11 a.m. Emory’s women are ranked first in the nation as its men are second. On Saturday, UT will host Sunshine State Conference opponent Rollins College at 11 a.m. Both meets will take place at the UT Swimming Complex.

The No. 9 UT women’s team and the No. 13 Tampa men are both coming off a pair of wins at the Tampa Relays and the Nova Southeastern Invite.

Following this weekend, Tampa will have just one regular-season meet remaining as it will travel to Indian River State College on Jan. 21 in the final tune-up before the SSC and NCAA Championships.
