April 7, 2010ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The University of Tampa (2-15, 0-8 SSC) tennis team lost to Eckerd College (3-10, 1-6 SSC) by a score of 5-4 in its final match of the 2010 season. The match also served as a Sunshine State Conference meeting between the teams.
The Spartans won the number-three match in doubles play as the team of Briana Ryan and Becky Ewing won by an 8-2 score.
UT won the four, five and six singles matches as Nikol Williams, Ally Wooten and Ryan were each victorious. Williams needed a third set as she prevailed by as 6-4 mark in the deciding set.
